Are you ready for some fútbol? This spring, the Denver Philharmonic Orchestra takes you south of the border for "¡Gooooal!" with José Pablo Monyao's Mexican anthem "Huapango", Silvestre Revueltas' "Redes" and American Aaron Copland's lively "El Salón México". From there, you'll travel to Spain with music from de Falla, return to Latin America for "Ária" from Villa-Lobos, tango into Buenos Aires with Piazzolla's romantic "Oblivion" and celebrate Argentine folk music with Ginastera's "Four Dances" from his ballet "Estancia". Mexico City-based José Luis Castillo guest-conducts at Antonia Brico Stage at Central Presbyterian Church in Denver as part of the orchestra's 70th-anniversary season.
